A day spent at Sunlove Home's Dementia Day Care Centre will include many fun-filled and benefiting therapeutic activities. Some of the programs conducted by the Occupational Therapists are Reminiscence Therapy, Reality Therapy, Photograph Therapy, art and craft, cooking, grooming, gardening and karaoke. Physiotherapists conduct exercises to improve muscle strength and mobility and improve basic functions such as standing, walking and grasping.

All staffs at the Centre are professionals who have experience in working with the elderly. They include Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Program Co-coordinators, Social Workers and Nursing staff.

Apart from programs at the Centre, clients are also brought for outings fortnightly to places of interest.

Transport is provided to and fro the Centre, thus bringing the service to the client's doorstep. The Centre operates from 9am till 5.30pm, Mondays to Fridays.

The catchments are the Central, Northeast and the Eastern regions.

Charges are determined by the Means Test. Range of fee is from $9 to $36, excluding transport. Charges include meals consisting of morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Transport charges are from $2 to $5 per trip depending on the location of client's residency.

Applications can be made through Medical Social Workers, Social Workers, Case Workers and Doctors. We also accept walk-ins.

In our Centre, arrangements can be made to bring clients for follow-up medical appointments. Charges will be extra. This help is rendered to busy family members so that they are not required to take time off.
